Marcedis Miller, 82

Marcedis Miller, 82, formerly of Celina, died at 8:20 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home in Wapakoneta.
She was born Oct. 8, 1930, in Auglaize County, to Russell and Mabel (Parke) Young.
Surviving are three sons, Donald Dale (June) Bricker, of Wapakoneta, Russell Bricker, of Las Vegas, Nev., Greg (Shirley) Bricker, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; a daughter, Rebecca (Rex) Miller, of Rockford; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters Gwendolyn Burd, of St. Marys, Lahoma Frederick, of Columbia, S.C., and Laura (Earl) Bricker, of Greenville; and a brother, Russell (Jo) Young, of Van Wert.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Russell and Mabel Young; two sisters, Dolores Knapp, Koneta Young; three brothers, Robert Young, James Young, and Paul Young; and a step-brother, Clinton “Bob” Mosler.
She retired from the Huffy Bicycle Mfg. Co. in Celina, having worked in the wheel room for many years.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Celina and Rockford Eagles Lodge auxiliary.
She enjoyed quilt-making. She was especially fond of children, many of whom affectionately referred to her as either “Grandma Little” or “Grandma Honey.”
Rites are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
