Loren Gierhart, 93

Loren Olen ‘Bud’ Gierhart, 93, of Lima, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at at 12:11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Wyngate Senior Living Community in Lima.
He was born June 2, 1919, in Union Township, Auglaize County, the son of the late Nancy Ella (Bacome) and Clarence Webster Gierhart. On Sept. 15, 1993, he married D. Jeanette Stotts Bartlett Gierhart, who died Jan. 1, 2013.
Surviving are a niece, Diane McKinney Sexton, of Hemet, Calif.; and nieces and nephews of his wife, Ronald (Joyce) Camper, of Lima, Wilbur Camper, of Lima, David Nunn, of Holgate, Larry (Carol) Ream, of Lima, Barbara Burtchin, of Lima, Shirley (John) Rohr, of Lafayette, Peggy (John) Potter, of Lima, Pamela (Ronald) Suever, of Elida, and Marilyn Wikel, of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Gierhart McKinney and Lucille Mary Gierhart.
Mr. Gierhart was a farmer. He was a World War II, U.S. Army Veteran stationed in Alaska and the South Pacific.
There are no public services or visitations planned.
