According to Logan County Sheriff Andy Smith, Brett Eley, 29, of Wapakoneta, was located by Logan County deputies at the Dollar General, 13797 State Route 235 North, Lakeview, at around 2 a.m. Friday.

Eley was taken into custody and charged with tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon, Smith said, and he is currently being held in the Logan County Jail.

At 11:43 p.m. Thursday, the Auglaize County Sheriff’s office reported that an Auglaize County man, whose name has not been released, was suffering from gunshot wounds and being treated at Joint Township Memorial hospital in St. Marys. According to Smith, the shooting victim reported that he had been shot at an address in the Indian Lake area on Thursday.

Logan County deputies were first called to a residence in the 8900 block of Hilltop Drive, Lakeview, at about 10:36 p.m. Thursday on reports of gunshots. There deputies found used shell casings, blood and signs of an assault. Nobody was located at the scene. Two other suspects in the shooting are also in custody.
