November 22, 2011

Joshua J. Carter

A six-year veteran of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was selected as the 2011 “Trooper of the Year” at the Wapakoneta Post.
Joshua J. Carter was selected for the honor in recognition of his outstanding service throughout the year, Wapakoneta Post Commander Lt. Scott Carrico said.
Fellow troopers and supervisors assigned to the post chose Carter based on his leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, and enthusiastic work attitude, along with his cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public.
“Trooper Josh Carter continues to be a leader in traffic safety efforts at the Wapakoneta Post,” Carrico said. “He is conscious of how his efforts to remove impaired drivers from our roads saves lives.”
This is the first time Carter has earned the Wapakoneta Post’s “Trooper of the Year” honor during his career.
Carter joined the Highway Patrol in 1999 and has served at the Wapakoneta Post throughout his career.
He is a 1997 graduate of Wapakoneta High School.
