Lisa A. Braun, 47, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born March 8, 1965, in Lima, the daughter of Carolyn K. (Cogswell) and Ralph I. Reed. Her father, Ralph, and step-mother, Marge, survive in Lima. Her mother, Carolyn Smith, survives in Elida. Her step-father, Jerry Smith, preceded her in death. On Dec. 25, 1991, she married Garry A. Braun, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lexis Nichole Braun, of Wapakoneta; three step-children, Lindsay (Jeremy) Sargent, of Wapakoneta, Jesse Braun, of Wapakoneta, and Larrissa Colgate, of Kentucky; four step-grandchildren, Gary Schrolucke, of Wapakoneta, T.J. Schrolucke, of Wapakoneta, Lyric Sargent, of Wapakoneta, and D.J. Colgate, of Kentucky; four siblings, Almeta Jones, of Lima, Randy (Karen) Reed, of Waynesfield, Wanda Reed, of Wapakoneta, and Dana Reed, of Elida; three nieces; two nephews; her mother-in-law, Lucille Hoying, ofWapakoneta; 11 brothers- and sisters-in-law, Deb East, of Oregon; Jake (Patti) Braun, of Wapakoneta, Becky (Rich) Nuesmeyer, of Wapakoneta, Cindy Hengstler, of Wapakoneta, Barry (Pam) Braun, of Wapakoneta, Judy (Randy) Heinl, of Wapakoneta, Janine Steineke, of Wapakoneta, Brenda (Jerry) Randall, of Wapakoneta, Monica Place, of Wapakoneta, Amy (Ed)McCune, of Wapakoneta, and Jeff (Ali) Braun, of Wapakoneta; 29 nieces and nephews; a special niece, Courtney Braun, of Wapakoneta; and her special friend, Angie (Dave)Schneider and their children, Benjamin, Grace and Emma, of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by her fathers-in-law, Harry Braun and Tom Hoying.
Lisa was a graduate of Lima Senior High School and worked 20 years at Time-Warner Cable in the billing and advertising department. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Wapakoneta. She loved to socialize, her animals, cooking and loved everyone.
Services are at 6 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, State Route 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Patrick Slonaker officiating. Burial is to be at a later date at St. John Cemetery, in Freyburg. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be given to the Auglaize County Humane Society or the St.Joseph Church Renovation Fund.
