Lena Walker, 81

Lena Walker, 81 of Wapakoneta, died at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Richland County, the daughter of the late Lucy and Thomas and D’Emilio. Her husband of 59 years, Dennis F. Walker, survives in Wapakoneta.
Also surviving are two daughters, Denise (Joseph) Fischer, of Wapakoneta, and Danette (John) Addison, of Dayton; a grandson, Aaron Walker Addison, who is stationed in Japan with the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. George Washington; and a sister, Mary Switzer.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Angelo D’Emilio; and a sister, Rose Grosso.
Mrs. Walker was a retired secretary with the Wapakoneta City School System. She was employed for 16 years at Fisher Cheese Company. She was a most-supportive and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
No public services or visitations are planned per her wishes. A private family burial of her cremated remains will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
