Lee Boedicker, 74, passed away at 11:47 p.m., April 29, 2014, at the Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek. Lee was born July 29, 1939, in Lima, to Doll and Daisy McVicker Boedicker, who preceded him in death.
In 1957, he graduated from Lima Senior High School, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team. He also played with the City League Fast Pitch Softball, where he was a pitcher, and also played with the Ohio Steel Foundry Baseball Team, of the metro league, where he was an excellent third baseman. After high school, he worked for The Lima News and then went to work for Proctor and Gamble as a technician for 29 years, before retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Eagles, in Lima. In 2003, he went to live with his son, where he loved to watch his grandsons grow up and participate in sports.
Survivors include: son, Mitchell (Melissa) Boedicker, of Fairborn; two grandsons, Ty and Trey; and four siblings, Bernie (Irene) Boedicker, of Lima, Gale (Linda) Boedicker, of Lima, Erma (Jack) Callahan, of Columbus Grove and Gary (Pam) Boedicker, of Lima.
Services will be held at noon on Friday, May 2, at Chiles-Laman Funeral Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service, Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faircreek Church Building Fund at 2400 Faircreek Ridge Drive, Fairborn, OH 45324.
