John Lachey, 79

John D. Lachey, 79, 321 S. Wagner Ave., Sidney, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Fort Loramie, the son of the late Katherine (Borchers) and Marcellus Lachey. On June 2, 1956, he married Marjorie Ballweg, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Bev (Don)Goettemoeller, of Sidney; and a son, Joe (Shannon) Lachey, of Sidney.
He was preceded in death by a son, John M. Lachey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney, with the Rev. Daniel Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.
Friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Holy Angels Catholic Church or the Lehman High School Foundation.
