James Deal, 52

James A. “Big Dog” Deal, 52, of Wapakoneta, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 17, 1961, to the late Marjorie Faye (Worrell) and Rex Eugene Deal. On Sept. 14, 2002, he married Melissa Beth Tangeman, who survives.
Mr. Deal had been a chemical operator at the Potash Corporation and enjoyed camping, fishing, the Cleveland Browns and The OSU Buckeyes.
Survivors include four children, Amber (Paul II) Holbrook, of Lima, Jamie (Krystal Pettes) Deal, of Hudson, Fla., Carey (Rich Walpole) Coburn, of Tampa, Fla., and Amalie Cummins, of Wapakoneta; six grandchildren, Makayla Holbrook, Paul Holbrook III, Taylor Holbrook, David Deal, Jordan Estfan and Tyler Estfan; one brother, Thomas Deal, of Wapakoneta; a brother-in-law, Greg Meyer, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Deal; a brother, Daniel Deal; and a sister, Deborah Meyer.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeanette Tangeman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
