James Bertsch, 49

James M. Bertsch, 49, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 7:42 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011, at Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born April 7, 1962, in Bellevue, the son of Leona (Schneider) and Walter Bertsch, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 11, 1986, he married Rebecca S. Paxson, and she survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Kendal (Eddie) Wright of Centerville, Kylie Bertsch, Wapakoneta; two brothers, John (Deb) Bertsch of Clyde, Gene (Blythe) Bertsch of Columbus; two sisters, Joan (Robert) Sweet of Bellevue, Linda (Jim) Barber of Sunset Beach, N.C., a brother-in-law, Norm Paxson of Crawfordsville, Ind.; two sisters-in-law, Vicky (Wendell) Stahler of Lima, Beverly (Larry) Fogt of Wapakoneta and numerous nieces & nephews.
He worked as a quality inspector at Honda of America in Anna. He attended St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Botkins. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and working on repairing various projects.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta, Pastor Robert Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
