Inez Ford Niswonger Bovee, 90, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:07 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at her residence. Inez was born on Sept. 23, 1923, in Cleveland to Kenneth George and Lena (Ford) Niswonger, who preceded her in death. She was also the step-daughter of Isabelle Niswonger, who preceded her in death.
She was also the devoted granddaughter of Margaret Wample Niswonger who resided in Ansonia, Ohio and with whom she spent her early childhood in Ansonia.
On June 12, 1943, she married Lloyd Champlin Bovee, who died in 1992.
Mrs. Bovee was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, and its Hannah Circle. She was a charter member of the Auglaize County Humane Society.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Richard (Andy Homano) Bovee, of Denver, Colo., and Michael William (Maria) Bovee, of Quincy, Ill; two daughters, Dianne Jenkins and Debra (George) Dicke, both of Wapakoneta. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie) Jenkins, Wapakoneta, Jason Jenkins, Burbank, Calif., Jennifer (Aaron) Lentz, Fostoria, Ohio, Michael Maximus Bovee, Evans, Ga., and Luke Bovee of Quincy, Ill. There are also three great-grandchildren, Tyler Jenkins and Taylor Jenkins, of Wapakoneta, and Allison Lentz, of Fostoria, Ohio. Also surviving are two step great-grandchildren, Kaylee and A.J. Lentz, of Fostoria.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Kim Pope-Seiberling officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Friday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday at the church.
