Honoring those who gave all

Three local veterans groups came together Saturday to participate in an annual tradition: Placing wreaths on the graves of those who gave their lives for their country.

The Wreaths Across America program’s mission is: “Remember, Educate, Honor” — Remember the fallen, educate our youth on the sacrifices that were made, honor those who served.

Locally, a group consisting of members of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Freedom’s Colors took time Saturday afternoon to place wreaths on the graves of 10 veterans — all from Auglaize County — who died in the service of...
