George Truesdale, 86

George D. Truesdale, 86, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:38 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Auglaize County, the son of the late Florence (Harps) and Roy Truesdale. On May 21, 1949, he married G. A. “Sue” Fiebelkorn, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Also surviving are two sons, Eric A. (Sandy) Truesdale, of Wapakoneta, and Todd A. Truesdale, of Watauga, Texas; a granddaughter, Acacia Truesdale; a brother, Roy (LaVon) Truesdale, of Cridersville; and a sister-in-law, Lilas Truesdale, of Texas.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda S. Truesdale; a brother, Robert Truesdale; and a sister, Alberta Gearing.
Mr. Truesdale retired in 1989 from Stinebaugh Construction. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wapakoneta. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, a former member of the V.F.W. Post 8445 of Wapakoneta and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, with the Rev. R. J. Davis officiating.
Military rites will be observed by V.F.W. Post 8445 of Wapakoneta at the funeral home.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
