Gene E. Howell, 73, died at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at his residence in Waynesfield.
He was born June 12, 1940, in Clay Township, Auglaize County to Jack & Hazel (Scott) Howell, and they preceded him in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Ida Howell, of Richwood, Colene Howell, of Jenera, Belinda Howell, of Richwood, Loretta Howell-Mills, of Marion; a brother, Charles Howell, of Santa Fe; four sisters, Doris Mills, of Bellefontaine, Twila Howell, of Bellefontaine, Velva McDermit, of Santa Fe, Donna Herbert, of Kansas City; numerous grandchildren; a special friend, Betty Byer, of Waynesfield; an ex-wife, Linda Raupp, and his loving dog, Cammie. He was preceded by a brother Merle Howell.
Gene was a “Baptized Believer,” had worked at Meta Cote in Lima, and was a farmer.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Armentrout Funeral Home, Waynesfield, with Rev. Don Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
