Baseball
RED CROSS FUNDRAISER: The American Red Cross is selling tickets for a Cincinnati Reds vs. San Diego Padres game Sunday, Aug. 14 at 1:10 p.m.
The purchase of the ticket enters you into a raffle to throw out the first pitch at that game. Tickets are $25 each or four for $90. All proceeds go to The American Red Cross.

Golf
OUTING: The Jason Kline Memorial Golf Outing will be held Sept. 17 at the Wapakoneta Country Club.
Hole sponsors are being sought for the event.. The cost is $50 to sponsor a hole and all proceeds go to the Jason Kline Scholarship Fund.
Hole sponsorship includes a custom sign with your company name on one of the tee boxes.
Make checks payable to the Wapakoneta Athletic Boosters.

Running
TRIATHLON/DUATHLON: The 2011 Triathlon for a Cure will take place 8 a.m. August 20 at the Greenville City Park.
The triathlon will be a 500-meter swim in the city pool, a 13-mile bike ride and a 5k run. The Duathlon will offer a 5k run, a 13-mile bike and a 5k run.
Registration includes an event shirt, on course food, finishers medal, and age group awards. Event will feature professional event management, complete electronic timing and a full podium awards ceremony.

Softball
FALL LEAGUE: There is a fall fast-pitch league for girls going into grades 3-6 in the fall.
It will be on Mondays at Custenborder Park in Sidney. Cost is $40 per player. Please contact Brent New (492-8414) or Wade New (497-8555) for more information or to receive a registration form.
The league starts on Sept. 12 and money and forms must be turned in by Sept. 6. It is a machine pitch league.
TRYOUTS: The U-14 Lady Hurricanes fast-pitch softball team will be holding tryouts on August 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the old Huntsville school field.
