An anonymous tip led to the arrest Thursday evening of two Wapakoneta men for multiple drug charges following a multi-agency law enforcement investigation.
Kristopher Sandven, 23, and Christopher Brant, 19, 30A W. Auglaize St., were both charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, a second-degree felony, possession of methamphetamines, a fifth-degree felony, and cultivation of marijuana, a third-degree misdemeanor. They were incarcerated at the Auglaize County Jail.
The pair is being held without bond after a hearing Friday before Municipal Judge Gary Herman.
Sandven and Brant were arrested after officers executed a search warrant at their residence at 5:03 p.m. Thursday. During the execution of the search warrant, Wapakoneta Police Chief Russ Hunlock said law enforcement officers took into custody several items located in the residence typically used for the manufacture anne cultivation of controlled substances and marijuana.
â€śI am very pleased with the work of the Wapakoneta police officers and I am pleased with the work of all the agencies,â€ť Hunlock said. â€śThey have done a phenomenal job with all the work they did on this case in a short time. I also am pleased with the excellent cooperation between all the agencies.
â€śWe are going to keep hitting these crimes the best way we can,â€ť he said, â€śand we will continue to work to put a dent into all of these problems.â€ť
Law enforcement officers from the Wapakoneta Police Department, Grand Lake Task Force and the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation worked together on the case.
Hunlock said an anonymous tip led to this investigation.
