Council honors bowling champs

The Wapakoneta City Council met Monday night and bowling was on the agenda.

Specifically, Mayor Rodney Metz issued a proclamation for the state champion Wapakoneta High School boys bowling team, telling the team “they have represented the Wapakoneta community in a most positive manner and the team has experienced a high level of success throughout its season, winning titles at the Ohio High School Invitational Kick Off Classic, Sectional Tournament, District Tournament and a share of the West Ohio High School Bowling Conference Title and showed great perseverance in coming from behind to achieve a victory at the state tournament.”

The proclamation goes on to state that “The Wapakoneta City Council takes pride and pleasure in commending Wapakoneta High School Boys Bowling Team members Nate Kaeck, Austin Krites, Brandon Kennard, Chandler Kaeck, Blake Knueve, Trevor Copeland, Stone Schnarre and coaches Dan Ruck and Jim Kaeck on their outstanding season including the 2014 state championship and offers the team best wishes for continued success in the future.”
