Volunteers from local companies and organizations teamed up with the United Way of Auglaize County Saturday to complete a variety of projects throughout the community.

The county-wide campaign is called the Day of Caring and it has been a fixture in the community since the late 1990s.

“What we do is try to match up our partner agencies with companies and community volunteers to accomplish some of the projects our agencies don’t have the time or resources to complete,” Auglaize County United Way Executive Director Randy Fisher said.

Some of the local agencies that received help were the Auglaize County Public Library, Community Health Professionals and the Auglaize County Crisis Center in Wapakoneta, as well as organizations outside the city like the Auglaize County Council on Aging in St. Marys.
