Charlene Waterman, 80

Charlene A. Waterman, 80, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:37 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Shawnee Manor.
She was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Lima, the daughter of Georgiana and Guy Walker, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 24, 1953, she married Thomas H. “Tom” Waterman, who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2008.
Surviving are four children, Jay Waterman, of Lima, Jill (Tom) Clarke, of Leonardtown, Md., Jeff Waterman, of Spencerville, and Jon (Jamie) Waterman, of Wapakoneta; and three grandchildren, Travis Clarke, Jackson Waterman, and Justine Waterman.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Chiles, and two brothers, Manuel “Mac” Walker and Richard “Dick” Walker.
Charlene retired as a case worker with the Auglaize County Job & Family Services. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Brands Lake Fishing club, and the V.F.W. Post 8445, Auxiliary, all of Wapakoneta. She enjoyed fishing, going to lunch with her friends, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Steven Nelson officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
