Casting call for "First Man" announced

If you're aching to get away from the cold, and appear in the forthcoming "First Man" feature film about Wapakoneta native Neil Armstrong, here's your chance.

Dreamworks, along with Universal Pictures and Rose Locke Casting, has announced casting calls for the film. Shooting starts Feb. 14 in Cape Canaveral, Fla. Applications for background "extras" are open until Feb. 8.

"First man" stars Ryan Gosling and Kyle Chandler and is scheduled to open in October. The film is based on James Hansen's biography "First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong." The movie is being directed by Oscar winner Damien Chazelle.

Writing credits for the film, according to the Internet Movie Database, are Nicole Perlman, earlier screenplay, Josh Singer, screenplay, and Hansen.
