Carolyn Timmerman, 81

Carolyn A. “Timmy” Timmerman, 81, of Lima, passed away Friday night, Jan. 25, 2013, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 23, 1931, in Lima, the daughter of the late Vera C. (McCune) and Marcus V. Alspaugh. On July 19, 1953, in Lima, she married Marvin E. Timmerman, and he preceded her in death in 1982.
Surviving are a son, Steve (LeeAnn) Timmerman, of Ada; a daughter, Lisa (Bill) McKinnon, of Lakeview; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Youngpeter.
She was a 1949 graduate of Lima Central High School. She was a nurse with St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima for over 30 years until she retired. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lima and loved caring for animals.
Services are at 1 pm Tuesday at Shoffstall Funeral Home in Lakeview. Burial will follow at Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Humane Society of the donor’s choice.
