Buckland struggles with budget

June 26, 2014

BUCKLAND — Money concerns were on the minds of village councilors Tuesday, as a proposed levy and a tight budget were on the agenda.

At a previous council meeting, new line items were authorized to get better control of costs and expenditures.
Councilors discussed closure of the park to save money.

Mayor Dan Lambert noted that $9,000 was spent on the park last year and approximately $4,000 may have already been spent on it this year. The mayor noted he would not know that number for sure until next month’s meeting.
