MINSTER — The Wapakoneta boys and girls bowling teams cruised to victory Saturday in Minster.
The boys team played a head to head match against New Bremen, and took care of business, 2951-2287.
In the singles games, Austin Krites dominated the lanes, bowling 216 and 234 in the two games, for a total of 450 pins.
Chandler Kaeck also broke the 200-mark once, bowling a 226 in the first game and a 181 in the second game.
Total, in the single games, Wapakoneta out-rolled New Bremen 1875-1473.
In the Baker games, Wapakoneta impressed as well, extending its lead.
The Baker games are a team game where 5 different players roll two frames each, and then combining it for one game score.
Wapakoneta bowled over 200 in four out of the five Baker games.
The girls team easily defeated Russia, which had the disadvantage of only having four bowlers.
Russia’s bowling program is new and still working on filling out a a full roster.
Wapakoneta’s Haley Grieves bowled 173 and 167 in the two single games for a two-game total of 340.
Her single games led all bowlers in this match.
Wapakoneta won the single games 1425-688.
The Redskins also had the advantage in the Baker games, 717-393.
