A pink painted house with a pink gate and a yard adorned with roses, hearts and cupids stands among the bustling businesses and sidewalks in downtown Wapakoneta.

Those who know the couple that lives there understand the care put into the home, and they have likely stopped to ask exactly what makes the house a "Painted Lady."

Doris (Orphal) and Kenny Weber have lived in this house for 19 years, and it has been in the Orphal family for 69 years.

As Valentine's Day approaches, the house's color blends perfecting with the decorations of the month of February.

"Ken does most of the decorating now," Doris said, "but he wouldn't be able to do it unless I told him where to put stuff."
