Beth Sproul, 66

Beth Adel Sproul, 66, of Cridersville, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at her residence, following a lengthy, courageous battle with melanoma.
She was born June 11, 1946, in Rochester, Pa., to Betty Harn and Claude Sheline. Her mother survives in Beaver Falls, Pa. On March 9, 1963, she married James Sproul, who survives in Cridersville. On March 9, 2013, Beth and Jim celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Also surviving are four children, James Sproul Jr., of Vernal, Utah, Kathy Prater, of St. Marys; Amy (Mark) Freeman, of Wapakoneta, and Steven Sproul, of Cridersville; five grandchildren, Kyley Richardson, Brady Prater, Kayla Prater, Emily Freeman, and Abby Freeman; a great-grandson, Ryan Richardson; a sister, Claudia (Chris) Rambo, of Beaver, Pa.; a mother-in-law, Geraldine Sproul, of Cridersville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Dick) Schindler, of Lima, and Sharon (Allan) Roznowski, of Wapakoneta; a nephew; several nieces; and many close friends, especially Jim and Carolyn Lucas.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Sheline.
Beth loved traveling to the Smoky Mountains and Siesta Key Beach. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and decorating for the holidays. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She liked shopping and going to lunch with her friends. She was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Beth was very grateful for the care and compassion she received as a patient at the James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to support the Kendra Melanoma Research Fund (#311842) at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus.
