Barretts honored with Rotary award

Chester Barrett, left, with wife Patricia, accept the Vocational Service Award from Wapakoneta Rotary Club president Josh Hines. The couple was long-time owners of Goodyear Shoe Service who continue to work in the business now owned by their son, Dale.

For more than 35 years, Patricia and Chester Barrett spent the greater part of each week replacing shoe soles, reattaching luggage handles, sewing up the seams in backpacks and giving zippers back their zip.
