Long-time Auglaize Acres employee Kim Sudhoff was officially named administrator of the nursing facility on March 6 after serving one month as interim administrator.
Sudhoff has worked at the facility for eight years, starting out as the payroll clerk and later promoted to business office manager.
“This was my first experience with a nursing home when I came here eight years ago,” Sudhoff said. “I really love working here. We have an excellent staff. We had wonderful residents — it’s just something I really wanted to be a part of.”
In preparation for the position, Sudhoff completed an 18-month accelerated degree program through University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, where she received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
She also completed the required administrator in training program at Auglaize Acres.
“I spent the last year working in every department, and it really helped me see how everyone works together,” Sudhoff said. “If they don’t get laundry down, then laundry’s behind. If they don’t get the trays back, then the kitchen’s behind.”
