Arden L. Brown, 98

Arden L. Brown, 98, of Cridersville, passed away Monday afternoon, Oct. 7, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
Arden was born on July 23, 1915, in Burt County, Neb. to the late Leo and Anna Carruthers Brown.
On Oct. 24, 1942, he married the former Thelma Miller in Lima and they were married for 70 years before she preceded him in death on Oct. 26, 2012. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earle and John D. Brown. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arden was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Russells Point. He was also a member of Grange and Farm Bureau.
He enjoyed farm life and talking about politics.
The Rev. Patrick L. Sheridan will officiate a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at St. Mary of the Woods Church in Russells Point. Visitation is Friday, Oct. 11 from 4-7 p.m. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.
Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.
