In the contested race for Wapakoneta City Council’s three councilors-at-large seats, the four candidates laid out their decision-making process from relying on research to depending on experience, as well as their talents in consensus building or having the fortitude to make a decision based on their character.
The candidates for councilor-at-large — Rachel Barber, Tom Finkelmeier Jr., Randy Fisher and Dan Graf — addressed approximately 30 people Wednesday gathered at the Wapakoneta Family YMCA.
Three councilors — 1st Ward Councilor Jim Neumeier, 3rd Ward Councilor Bonnie Wurst and 4th Ward Councilor Chad Doll — also took the opportunity to talk with the public during a “Meet the Candidate” forum sponsored by the Wapakoneta Daily News and the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce.
For more information about the issues addressed at the forum, see the Thursday, Oct. 31 edition of the Wapakoneta Daily News.
