Airport moves on new terminal

The Auglaize County Airport Authority held its regular board meeting at the Neil Armstrong Airport on Tuesday night and took several large steps forward in the sizable projects currently in the works at the airport.

The board voted on a final proposal from Minster based architectural firm, Garmann Miller, deciding on a plan that encompasses 4,390 square feet and will cost an estimated $1.6 million.
The new design features several amenities that the current terminal, which was built in 1969, does not have.

Included in the finalized design is a larger meeting room, additional office space, larger restrooms, a kitchen, pilot lounge, reception, additional seating and holding areas. However, the design does not include a basement.
