The Redskins (8-4) scored in the bottom of the fifth to break a 1-1 tie, helping to seal their fifth straight win in a cold and windy game against the Thunderbirds (2-9).

The Redskins (7-3, 4-2 WBL) won all three singles positions and claimed victory at second doubles in Western Buckeye League action to win their third straight match, equaling a season-high win streak.

Kodi Morgan threw a complete game, one-hit shutout and the Wapakoneta Redskins posted 14 hits in a 9-0 win Tuesday over the Bath Wildcats in a Western Buckeye League varsity baseball game.

Wapakoneta no match for league leader Bath

The Wapakoneta Redskins scored once in the first inning but the defending state champion Bath Wildkittens scored 11 straight runs with 12 hits, two of them home runs, in an 11-1 win by run-rule Tuesday in Western Buckeye League varsity softball action.

Laney holds down Parkway; ‘Skins win 3rd straight

Rob Laney earned a complete game win, as he and the Wapakoneta Redskins won their third straight game Monday in a 3-1 victory over the Parkway Panthers in a non-league varsity baseball game at Wapakoneta High School.

Laney threw 111 pitches in seven innings, allowing just four hits and one earned run. He struck out seven Panthers.

The Redskins tallied 10 hits, as Quinn Lotridge, Nate Kaeck and Maddux Liles each had two.

Wapakoneta Redskins sophomore Allie Zofkie set two school records Wednesday, as she broke the 1,600- and 3,200-meter run marks.

Wapakoneta swept a dual meet against the Shawnee Indians.

Gray Horn still eyeing Olympics, breaks into coaching full time

Last year the goal for Gray Horn was to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Despite some minor changes in his life that have changed his focus quite a bit, the “ultimate goal” is still alive.
