Amy L. Bolmowski, 56

Amy L. Bolmowski, 56, of Romulus, Mich., passed away on Aug. 5, 2014. Amy was born Aug. 22, 1957, in Wapakoneta. She was the daughter of Charles Huebner and Genevieve (Hill) Huebner.

Amy enjoyed watching Detroit Tigers games, studying the Bible and praying. Amy enjoyed going to Ohio to visit her family and also loved TV shows.

Myra J. Millirans, 89

Myra J. Millirans, 89, arrived peacefully at her heavenly home on Aug. 2, 2014, at 12:20 a.m.  She was a resident at Morton Terrace Care Center in Morton, Ill. She had previously been a resident at the Maple Lawn Health Center in Eureka, Ill.

Myra was born March 31, 1925, in Lima, to Orville and Sarah (Skinner) Leigh who preceded her in death. On Jan. 25, 1946, she married Robert James Millirans who preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1977.

James LeRoy Motter, 74

August 4, 2014

James LeRoy Motter, 74, of Waynesfield, died Sunday morning, Aug. 3, 2014, at his residence. He was born Sept. 19, 1939, in Auglaize County, to the later Venard and Louise Motter. On Nov. 7, 1960, he married Sue Bollinger, and she survives. Mr. Motter was a retired semi truck driver.

Cordie Miracle, 89

Cordie Miracle, 89, of Wapakoneta, and formerly of Findlay, went home to  be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.

Cordie was born March 27, 1925, in Bell County, Ky., to the late George and MaryBell (Hoskins) Thompson. She married the love of her life, Cecil A. Miracle, on Aug. 3, 1944, in Saint Marys, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1990.

Clarence L. Landt, 92

July 31, 2014

Clarence L. Landt, 92, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Lima. He was born in Glenbrook, Iowa, the son of Edwin and Elsie (Luchie) Landt, who preceded him in death. On May 23, 1945, he married Irene Roop, and she died Aug. 29, 1973.

Survivors include three children, Terry Landt, of Wapakoneta, Larry Landt, of Elkton, Ohio, and Janice Landt, of Iowa, and two granddaughters, Kendra and Rochelle.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Arlo Landt.

Charles Edward "Ed" Wells, 70

Charles Edward "Ed" Wells, 70, of 9631 state Route 274, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 8:09 a.m., at his residence after a three-year courageous battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Sidney, the son of the late Charles Homer and Olga (Eschmeyer) Wells.

Theresa M. Case, 80, formerly of Auglaize Co. Road 33-A in St. Marys, died at 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2014, in the emergency department of JTDM Hospital.

She was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Auglaize County, to Louis and Elizabeth (Yahl) Dietz.

On Aug. 22, 1953, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, she married William M. Case, who died Sept. 17, 2000.

Edith M. Stroh, 94

July 28, 2014

Edith M. Stroh, 94, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:43 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Otterbein Cridersville, from complications of a recent stroke. She was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Higgins) Kohler, who preceded her in death.  On July 9, 1942, she married Harold V. Stroh, and he survives.

Wanda E. (Thuman) Capps, 67

Wanda E. (Thuman) Capps, 67, of Wapakoneta, died at 7:25 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Heartland of Indian Lake, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 21, 1946, in Sidney, the daughter of Franklin L. and Blanche (Comer) Thuman, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her only daughter, Cindy Link, her sister, Connie Binkley, and two grandsons she thought the world of, Tim Link and Travis Link. She was married to Danny Capps of Lima.

Louis Justin Oen, 97

Louis Justin Oen, 97, longtime Arizona banker, died Wednesday in Phoenix. He was born in Lima, Ohio on September 22, 1916, and raised with a brother and six sisters in nearby Wapakoneta by an entrepreneurial father and patient mother. Lou played basketball for St. Joe’s High School and acted in the school plays. As a young man in 1936, Lou hitchhiked and rode freight trains to California and back with his best friend to get a sense of America.
