Klor A. Newland, 70, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:26 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center in Lima.
Arrangements are incomplete at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.
Viola M. (Kinninger) VanSkiver, formerly of Maria Stein, died at 2:55 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Otterbein St. Marys, where she had been a resident for over six years.
She was born July 19, 1923, in Uno, the daughter of Emma (Varno) and Harry Kinninger. On Sept. 27, 1937, in Minster, she married Randall K. VanSkiver at St. Augustine Church in Minster.
She attended schools in St. Patrick and Minster, graduating from Minster High School in 1942. In the late 1940s, she lived in Dayton with her two older sisters and worked at the National Cash Register Company.
LaVida â€śRustyâ€ť B. Grimm, 90, formerly of 400 E. Warren Street, Celina, died Thursday Oct. 6, 2011, at the Gardens of Celina.
She was born June 9, 1921, in La Carne, the daughter of Gertrude (Cunningham) and the Rev. Gaile Van Tilbrough.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy D. Wheeler, of Celina, Marilyn C. (Edward) Pfister of Huntertown, Ind.; and a son, Rick A. Grimm. of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by a husband Robert â€śLloydâ€ť Grimm.
Becky Ann Metz Grillot, 47, Townline-Lima Road, Wapakoneta, died at 9.25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, after being seriously ill for a year.
She was born April 4, 1964, in Sidney, the daughter of Lois Ann (Schmidt) and William Wayne Metz, who survive in Jackson Center. On July 2, 1988, at St. Remy Church in Russia, she married Andrew James Grillot and he survives.
Margaret S. Henschen, 89,10545 East Shelby Road, New Knoxville, died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at the Saint Marys Living Center.
She was born June 7, 1922, in rural New Knoxville, the daughter of Sara and William (Bierbaum) Henschen.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, with the Rev. Dennis Gaertner officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.
Nancy Jo Miller Klopfenstein Mort, 68, died Sept. 14, 2011, following an extended illness.
She was the third daughter of the late Retha (Reed) and Joseph Miller of Wapakoneta. She married Ivan Klopfenstein in Jackson Center and had two sons, Terry and Christopher. She then married Daniel Mort of Lima and became stepmother of four children, Todd, Randy, Kenny and Sheila.
She was grandmother to Michael, Michelle, Stephanie, Danielle and Steven.
Ruth M. Mann, 82, of Jackson Center, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at the Pavilion in Sidney.
She was born May 15, 1929, in Maplewood, the daughter of the late Norma Marie (Hodge) and Floyd Ray Zimmerman. On Feb. 24, 1961, she married Harry O. Mann and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2003.
Also preceding her in death were a sister; Naomi Daniels, and three brothers, Nevin, Eugene and Levon Zimmerman.
Vanessa Kayana Lopez, three-weeks old, 120 Villa Nova Blvd. St. Marys, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at Toledo Childrenâ€™s Hospital.
She was born Sept. 7, 2011 in Toledo, to Hector and Gerri (Bonifas) Lopez.
Survivors are her parents; a sister, Leticia Lopez, of St. Marys; and a brother, Diego Lopez, of St. Marys.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hector Lopez, Jr. and Balentine Lopez and a sister, Natalie Lopez.
Services are at 7 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, with the Rev. Judy Ball officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
William H. â€śBilly Bobâ€ť Doering, 66, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born April 18, 1945, in Lima, the son of Norma (Cook) and Harold Doering, who preceded him in death. On June 24, 1988, he married Sheila Nichols, and she survives.
Elmer H. Will, 88, of New Bremen, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at 5:39 a.m. at the St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center, in Lima.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1923 in Carthagena. He is the son of Ida F. (Kaup) and Ferd D. Will.
On Aug. 29, 1953 he married Lela J. Bauer, who survives in Minster.
Also surviving is his daughter Peggy (Mark) Kitzmiller, of New Bremen.
A Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, in New Bremen, with the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will be in the German Protestant Cemetery near New Bremen.
