Sally A. Singleton, 76, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Auglaize Acres. She was born Feb. 28, 1938, the daughter of James J. and Donna M. (Croushorn) Singleton, who preceded her in death.

Maxine Ball, 83

Maxine Ball, 83, of Wapakoneta, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at 11:33 a.m., at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Middlesboro, Ky., to the late Howard and Lillie Jones Evans. On Sept. 9, 1950, she married Shelby Monday, who died Nov. 20, 1970. On Nov. 27, 1972, she married Harold J. Ball, who died March 27, 2010. 

Until her death, Maxine was working at Cridersville Health Care. She enjoyed working with the people there and residents. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, cooking, and most of all she loved her family dearly.

Violet M. “Vi” Maxson, 87

Violet M. “Vi” Maxson, 87, of Wapakoneta, died at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at her residence with her family at her side. She was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Shawano County,Wis., the daughter of Julius and Rose (Westphal) Malueg, who preceded her in death. On April 2, 1947, she married Stanley R. Maxson, and he survives.

Carol Kay Koch, 73

Carol Kay Koch, 73, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:13 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Lyons, Ind. on July 27, 1941, to Ralph and Iva Perkins, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 16, 1964, she married Dean A. Koch and he passed away in 1986.

James L. “Wally” Watercutter, 53

James L. “Wally” Watercutter, 53, of rural Cridersville, died Monday morning, Oct. 6, 2014, at his residence. He was born Aug. 26, 1961, in Lima, the son of Leonard and Eileen (Smith) Watercutter, who preceded him in death.

Evelyn F. Barlow, 89, of New Knoxville, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 12:35 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1925, in Macon, Mo., to George and Fern (Lee) Cox, who preceded her in death. On July 22, 1950, she married Lowell J. Barlow, and he passed away on Aug. 25, 1978.

October 6, 2014

Ray L. Hower, 60, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 5:17 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at his residence, with his family at his side. He was born Jan. 4, 1954, in Lima, the son of Arthur Oliver and Wahoneta Irene (Hardford) Hower, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 29, 1991, he married Deborah K. Wilder, and she survives.

Mary A. Egbert, age 80, of Botkins, died on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at 12:32 a.m. at The Gardens in Wapakoneta.

She was born on May 19, 1934 in New Bremen, the daughter of the late Walter and Lorena (Timmerman) Fischbach.

Ted Lewis Endel Sr., 84

Ted Lewis Endel Sr., 84, of St. Marys died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born on July 29, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio, to Clifford F. & Ruth Mae (Barker) Endel who preceded him in death.

Jerry Medaris Hardacre MD, age 80

Jerry Medaris Hardacre MD, age 80, of Marshfield, Wisc., passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at the House Of The Dove in Marshfield, with his family by his side. 

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Wesley United Methodist Church (205 E. 3rd St.) in Marshfield. Rev. Joel Deaner-Rogers will officiate.
